Dear Reader,

Welcome to the second episode of Tizi Talks with Willis Raburu one of Kenya's leading TV personalities! Willis is a News Anchor/ Reporter/ on Citizen TV, Radio Presenter on Hot 96 Fm and a Social Media Executive. He stands out with a collective social media following of close to one million! With a busy schedule from hosting the Power breakfast show, to keeping us entertained on his morning radio show and my favorite, the Friday 10 over 10 show with the Joey Muthengi, I was curious to know how he manages to make time for the gym! Being as influential as he is, I had to get him onto this second episode of Tizi Talks to hear what inspired him to begin his wellness journey; and hoping it will inspire you :)

TIZI: How long have you been working out?

WR: I have been doing it for about 3 months now and absolutely loving it.

TIZI: What made you start?

WR: Visited Doctor Wangata and he ran a couple of tests and told me I was not doing too good on my cholesterol levels. So I reached out to my trainer now Evelyn Owala of Eveal Health and Fitness and also partners with Smart Gyms and USN Kenya and started the journey.

TIZI: Do you feel like it has made a difference in your life? If yes, how so?

WR: Oh yes! I am more confident now. My esteem is way up ( I know its hard to believe it was down). It made a difference in my pocket too because now I have to shop for new clothes; but it is a good problem hahaha! Plus I have lost about 9kgs!

What a transformation!

TIZI: Can you please take me through your daily routine on a weekday? And the weekend?

WR: So basically it's a run in the morning and I hit the gym in the afternoon; where I work different parts of the body with my trainer Evelyn. On weekends I rest unless I skipped some days during in the week.

Willis' story is one that I am sure many of us can relate with. Within 3 months of starting his fitness journey, he has seen incredible results which has helped with his self-confidence. It is almost impossible to imagine a successful news anchor like him would need more confidence but that is what happens when you invest in your health. You become unstoppable!

As G- Money said, try and find an emotional attachment that motivates you to hit the gym; for Willis, its his lovely wife.
