TIZI: How old are you?

WN: Girl, we all know about asking a girl her age haha. Anyway, I’m 23 years young 😊

TIZI: How long have you been working out?

WN: Oh my days, it has been quite a while! It’s been around 3-4 years.

TIZI: What made you start?

WN: I wanted to shed weight. Funny thing is, I had never really thought I was big until a number of people started commenting on my weight. The last straw was when I would go for shopping I was unable to find clothes that fit and it was at this point I made the decision to live a healthier lifestyle.

TIZI: Do you feel like it has made a difference in your life? If yes, how so?

WN: Yes! Completely. Not only did it boost my self-confidence but I also noticed that my health-related problems disappeared. Also, it kick-started my modelling career back then, though I stopped because I decided to pursue my own business venture.

TIZI: Can you please take me through your daily fitness routine on a weekday? And the weekend?

WN: Weekdays I hit the gym. I have daily routines where I target different body parts- glutes, arms, chest and shoulders. However, I always start my work outs with a cardio boost of between 15- 20 minutes where I can either run on the tread mill, cycle or use the elliptical. Haha, weekends are tricky! Though if I can build up the stamina to do a weekend, I pick Saturdays where I do an online work out, something like Tae Bo, T-25 by Shawn T or just any other short HIIT work out.

TIZI: Do you find it difficult to include your workout in your daily routine?

WN: It can be difficult balancing work and exercising but I always say it’s all about discipline. If I know I’m going to have a busy day I go early morning.

TIZI: What keeps you motivated?

WN: That bomb feeling after working out is irreplaceable. Also, I have a gym partner so we keep each other motivated. The aesthetic side is a plus.

TIZI: What can you advise people who want to start their fitness journey?

WN: I would tell them to clearly define their goal; if it’s for health, weight loss or just to tone up, always keep that at the centre of your motivation.
