Power Green Smoothie

Dear Reader,

Welcome to Tizi Bar where I will be sharing with you healthy simple recipes of how to make different meals, snacks, juices, smoothies you name it. One of my favorite go to smoothies is the Power Green Smoothie. Its the perfect way of taking raw greens because it is semi- sweet, creamy and delicious! Since it is not very heavy, it makes the perfect mid- morning or afternoon snack. You are also guaranteed of your 'five a day' with this smoothie. Here is what you'll need; spinach, green apple, kiwi, cucumber, lime, ginger, natural yogurt, ice-cubes, and water.

Always make sure to wash all the ingredients either with bio- vegetable wash or warm water to ensure they are clean. Hygiene is the most important part of preparing anything in the kitchen.

Once they are all clean, add water in the blender before any of the other ingredients to ease the blending and to ensure there is a consistency in the smoothie. This will also prevent the blender from getting damaged.

Top it off with some lime juice for an extra kick.

Blend away and thank yourself for the amazing nutrients you are about to devour!

Blend it by alternating from normal speed to the highest, depending on the type of blender you have. This ensures that all the ingredients are uniformly mixed and it maintains the consistency. Once it forms a solid green color, you can serve it in a glass.
