Your Power Breakfast
-How nutritious is your breakfast?-
Do you love breakfast? We all know its importance! As I have emphasized in previous articles, breakfast is the most crucial meal of the day because it energizes you and dictates how healthy the rest of your day will be. If you start with a clean breakfast, you will want to keep the momentum by choosing healthy options for lunch, dinner and other snacks. If you do this every day, you will start to see results in your body, skin and general well being! I thought to show you guys how I combine my breakfast options with simple healthy ingredients. Before I have breakfast, I try to have at least two glasses of water. Hydration is everything!
7 healthy options for breakfast for 7 days of the week
1. Wheetabix topped with Bananas, Mixed Berries and Cashew-nuts
-2 tablets of wheetabix, handful of ground nuts, 1 sliced banana, and an assortment of mixed berries-
With this powerful combination, you will be unstoppable for the rest of the day.
2. Oats topped with Blueberries, Bananas, Almonds and Raisins
-Boil 1/2 cup of whole-grain ground oatmeal with almond milk and top it up with 6 almonds, 1 spoonful of chia seeds, 1 teaspoon of raisins, handful of blueberries, 1 sliced banana and sprinkle some cinnamon- This combination will make you super productive!
3. Egg sandwich accompanied with a Fruit Salad
-You can either boil or fry your eggs for this combination. Just make sure to use olive oil and minimum salt. If you have to add bread spread, use vegetable based products like flora. And of course always select brown bread-
-You can use any fruits for the salad, I like to have an assortment of 3 fruits-
4. Sweet Potatoes and Scrambled Eggs accompanied with a Fruit
My favorite! Simple to prepare and very filling as well.
-Boil or grill the sweet-potatoes and when ready, slice into small cubes and garnish with rosemary herbs-
- I love to add guacamole and sliced tomatoes garnished with lemon dressing- This is perfect as a post workout meal!
5. Avocado toast with or without egg, and accompanied with a Fruit Salad topped with Yogurt
-Mash the avocado onto toasted bread, drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, and then sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes. Yum! You can add some cheese too!-
-Combine this option with a colorful fruit salad mixed with plain yogurt- Its simple and healthy!-
6. Smoothie Bowls

-Smoothie bowls are a great way to get in a variety of nutrients including vegetables first thing in the morning! Most smoothies and smoothie bowls are inherently healthy because they contain a lot of whole foods but they are only as healthy as the individual ingredients that you put in them. 7. Spanish Omelette accompanied with a Citrus based Juice (Strawberry citrus juice)
-The combination of eggs with vegetables will fill you up and get you energized for the day ahead!- Add some chilies for that extra kick.

You can combine as many healthy options as you want, but try to have a combination of fruits and vegetables for breakfast. Remember not to go crazy over the fruits because at the end of the day, fruits have sugars which if not eaten in moderation, can actually contribute to weight gain.
After a hearty meal, fix yourself a lovely cup of coffee/ green tea or herbal tea which help in aiding digestion.
If you stick to these recommended combinations 7 days of the week, there is absolutely no challenge you won't be able to face! You will be highly energized with fewer cravings, better self-control, and you will be guaranteed of higher productivity. So go ahead and do some shopping to kick start your week!
